HomeSchool Beach Academy Nosara (HSBAN) is a private satellite school from a U.S. accredited private school established since 1981 that allows students from all over the world to study and complete both U.S. and Costa Rican academic standards. Students are issued an official U.S. certificate of completion for grades Kinder through 8th and an official U.S. high school diploma and transcripts allowing them to re-enter private and public schools throughout the U.S., Costa Rica and many other countries.
HSBAN opened with the vision of providing a high quality, flexible, affordable and bilingual education serving families in the Nosara and Samara surrounding areas. Our unique academic program combines a small class size ratio of 10:1 student to teacher with a traditional classroom setting to maximize student learning. We offer a full day dual language immersion program in addition to Physical Education and Visual Arts. Our student population reflects the demographics of the area where students are immersed in both languages. At HSBAN our credentialed teachers promote active citizens, innovators, critical thinkers and creators. Our approach is hands-on, cooperative group and project/field based learning connected to the real world. Our mission is to provide access to a high quality bilingual education where students are active learners and community members who share the love for learning.
